From here, journey into Leh, explore its palaces and monasteries, and then cross high passes into Nubra Valley and the turquoise expanse of Pangong Lake. A perfect blend of Kashmir’s beauty, Zanskar’s remoteness, and Ladakh’s high-altitude wonders.

Route: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Drass – Kargil

Road Condition: Good with winding mountain stretches.
Pickup from Srinagar and drive to Kargil. Cross Sonamarg meadows, climb Zojila Pass (11,575 ft), and visit the Drass War Memorial dedicated to Kargil War heroes. Continue along the Suru River to reach Kargil. Overnight stay in Kargil.
Day : 02
Route: Kargil – Suru Valley – Rangdum – Padum
Place Covered: Suru Valley – Panikhar – Rangdum – Pensi La – Drang Drung Glacier – Padum

Road Condition: Smooth up to Rangdum, rough & bumpy thereafter.
Drive through scenic Suru Valley with views of Nun-Kun peaks. Cross Rangdum Monastery and Pensi La Pass (14,435 ft) to witness the mighty Drang Drung Glacier before descending to Zanskar’s heartland Padum. Overnight in Padum.
Day : 03
Route: Padum – Purne – Trek to Phuktal – Padum
Place Covered: Purne – Phuktal Monastery

Distance / Time Taken: 120 km drive + 6 km trek (full-day excursion)
Road Condition: Narrow roads, trek moderate.
Drive to Purne, then trek along the Lungnak River to reach the cliffside Phuktal Monastery, one of the most spectacular in Ladakh. After exploration, return to Padum for overnight stay.
Day : 04
Route: Sightseeing around Padum
Place Covered: Karsha Monastery – Stongdey Monastery – Zangla Palace/Fort – Sani Monastery

Road Condition: Mix of paved and rough tracks.
Full-day sightseeing in Zanskar. Visit Karsha Monastery (largest in Zanskar), Stongdey Monastery, the historic Zangla Fort, and Sani Monastery, associated with Guru Padmasambhava. Overnight stay in Padum.
Day : 05
Route: Padum – Lingshed – Leh
Place Covered: Padum – Lingshed – Singge La – Leh

Road Condition: Adventurous, rough patches near Singge La.
Early morning drive from Padum via Lingshed village and cross Singge La Pass (16,600 ft). A long but rewarding journey through rugged Zanskar landscapes before reaching Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day : 06
Route: Leh Monastery Tour
Place Covered: Sindhu Ghat – Shey Palace – 3 Idiots School – Thiksey Monastery – Hemis (optional) – Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace (evening)

Route: Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley

Route: Nubra – Agham – Shyok – Pangong Tso

Drive via the Shyok route to reach Pangong Lake, one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in the world, famous for its ever-changing blue hues. Overnight at Pangong.
Day : 09
Route: Pangong – Chang La – Leh
Place Covered: Pangong Lake – Durbuk – Chang La – Leh

Road Condition: Steep climb near Chang La, rest fair.
Drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,586 ft), the world’s third-highest motorable pass. En route, stop for tea at Tangtse and photograph scenic views. Arrive in Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

Route: Leh – Airport (Departure)
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for onward flight.
