Day : 01
Route: Airport – Leh (By Air) 5–7 KMs
Place Covered: Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace
Night Stay: Leh, Hotel | Altitude: 11,562 ft (3,524 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 5–6 km (30 minutes approx)
Arrival at Leh Airport, meet & greet, transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free for acclimatization. Late afternoon visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day : 02
Route: Leh Monastery Tour
Place Covered: Shey Palace – Sindhu Ghat – Druk Padma Karpo (3 Idiots School) – Thiksey Monastery – Hemis Monastery
Night Stay: Leh, Hotel | Altitude: 11,562 ft (3,524 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 70–80 km (5–6 hrs incl. sightseeing)
Road Condition: Excellent
Full-day monastery circuit around Leh. Explore Shey Palace, visit the spiritual Sindhu Ghat, then the iconic 3 Idiots School (Druk Padma Karpo Institute). Later visit Thiksey Monastery (Ladakh’s “Mini Potala”) and Hemis Monastery, one of the largest in Ladakh. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day : 03
Route: Leh – Kargil
Place Covered: Hall of Fame – Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – Magnetic Hill – Sangam – Lamayuru Monastery – Mulbekh – Kargil
Night Stay: Kargil, Hotel | Altitude: 8,780 ft (2,676 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 220 km (7–8 hrs approx)
Road Condition: Good blacktop, some winding stretches.
After breakfast, drive to Kargil. En route visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam (Indus & Zanskar confluence), and Lamayuru Monastery (Moonland of Ladakh). Later stop at Mulbekh Chamba before reaching Kargil. Overnight stay in Kargil.
Day : 04
Route: Kargil – Rangdum – Padum (Zanskar)
Place Covered: Suru Valley – Panikhar – Rangdum – Penzi La Pass – Drang Drung Glacier – Padum
Night Stay: Padum, Hotel/Camp | Altitude: 12,037 ft (3,669 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 230 km (8–9 hrs approx)
Road Condition: Rough and bumpy after Rangdum.
Scenic drive through Suru Valley with views of Nun-Kun peaks. Cross Rangdum Monastery, continue via Pensi La (14,435 ft) and witness the stunning Drang Drung Glacier before descending into Zanskar’s capital, Padum. Overnight stay at Padum.
Day : 05
Route: Padum – Purne – Phuktal – Padum
Place Covered: Padum – Ichar – Purne – Trek to Phuktal Monastery – return to Padum
Night Stay: Padum, Hotel/Camp | Altitude: 12,037 ft (3,669 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 120 km drive + 6 km trek (full-day excursion)
Road Condition: Narrow mountain road, trekking trail moderate.
Drive to Purne, then trek to the spectacular Phuktal Monastery, built into a cliffside cave along the Lungnak River. After exploration, trek back to Purne and return to Padum. Overnight stay in Padum.
Day : 06
Route: Sightseeing around Padum
Place Covered: Karsha Monastery – Stongdey Monastery – Zangla Fort – Sani Monastery
Night Stay: Padum, Hotel/Camp | Altitude: 12,037 ft (3,669 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 70–80 km round trip (5–6 hrs approx)
Road Condition: Mix of good and rough tracks.
Explore Zanskar Valley’s cultural gems: Karsha Monastery (largest in Zanskar), Stongdey Monastery with panoramic valley views, the historic Zangla Palace/Fort, and Sani Monastery (linked to Guru Padmasambhava). Overnight stay in Padum.
Day : 07
Route: Padum – Lingshed – Leh
Place Covered: Padum – Lingshed – Singge La – Leh
Night Stay: Leh, Hotel | Altitude: 11,562 ft (3,524 mts)
Distance / Time Taken: 300 km (9–10 hrs approx)
Road Condition: Adventurous, rough patches near Singge La.
After early breakfast, drive from Padum via Lingshed village and cross Singge La Pass (16,600 ft), one of Ladakh’s highest. A long but rewarding journey back to Leh with incredible views of remote Zanskar. Overnight stay in Leh.

Route: Leh – Airport (Departure)
Transfer to Leh Airport after breakfast for onward flight.
